Abstract: SLE is not a rare disease in Iran. In the past 14 years, we have seen 503 cases. Renal manifestations were discovered in 317 of them (63%). The female ratio was 87%. All of them had proteinuria, but only 50% had a proteinuria superior to 500 mg per 24 hours. 60% had hematuria, 45% leucocyturia, and 42% had urinary casts.
