The 17th European Conference on Network and Optical Communications - NOC 2012And 7th Conference on Optical Cabling and Infrastructure - OC&I 2012 will be held in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Catalonia, Spain, on June 19-22, 2012.
The 17th NOC continues to combine the 7th OC&I, within a single event, providing a forum for the promotion of new opportunities from industry, institutes of technology and academia. We therefore invite you to contribute to the event through involvement as co-sponsor, session organiser, presenter, delegate or contributor.
The goal of the conference is to present high-quality results in the field, and to provide a framework for research collaboration through focused discussions that will designate future research efforts and directions. In this context, the program committee will accept only a limited number of papers that meet the criteria of originality, presentation quality and topic relevance. NOC and OC & I have reached the highest level of quality, which is reflected both in the level of participation as well as the acceptance ratio and the amount and quality of submitted papers

The International Symposium on Networks-on-Chip (NOCS) is the premier event dedicated to interdisciplinary research on on-chip communication technology, architecture, design methods and applications. NOCS aims at bringing together scientists and engineers working on NoC innovations from inter-related research communities, including computer architecture, networking, circuits and systems, embedded systems, and design automation. Original papers describing new and previously unpublished results are solicited on all aspects of NoC technology. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Electronic paper submission requires a full paper, up to 8 double-column IEEE format pages, including figures and references. Papers will be evaluated by the program committee in a blind review process based on scientific merit, innovation, relevance, and presentation. A special section related to the theme of the conference will be organized in collaboration with one of the IEEE journals.

This Conference will be a premier forum for the presentation of technological advances and research results, evolving new concepts and research directions through panel discussions in the fields of theoretical and experimental Computational Intelligence, Computer Vision, Image and Signal Processing. This conference will bring together leading Engineers, Scientists and Researchers.

All aspects of high-performance computer architecture, including, but not limited to :processor, cache, and memory architectures; parallel/multicore architectures; power-efficient architectures and techniques; dependable/secure architectures; I/O systems, embedded and reconfigurable architectures; interconnect and network interface architectures; impact of compilers and system software on architecture; performance modeling and evaluation.
